Xiaomi Black Shark Helo with Snapdragon 845 Processor and 10GB RAM launched, Price and Specs here

In terms of it's price, the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant is priced CNY 3,199 (Approx. INR 34,100) while the 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant will be a bit expensive at CNY 3,499 (Approx. INR 37,000). The last variant i.e. the one with 10GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage variant will be available at CNY 4,199 (Approx. INR 44,500). The smartphone will go for sale in China from October 30 in just Black Color variant.

The much rumoured gaming smartphone, Black Shark Helo, is now unveiled for the consumers by the Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi, on Tuesday. The smartphone is a successor to this year launched Black Shark, and has very less upgrades in terms of its specifications and features. One can notice larger RAM and a bigger screen as the primary upgrades in the Black Shark Helo which is also known as Black Shark 2. The biggest drawback that the consumers may not leave aside are the non-availability of 3.5mm Audio Jack and absence of MicroSD card slot. We wonder what the company may have thought while designing a phone with these two key highlights.

Taking into consideration the smartphone being designed for gaming, there are arrangements made for preventing the smartphone from being overheated as the handset features a new cooling system. The much fascinating feature of the smartphone is the availability of a controller dock designed for the handset. The controller with a joystick called as Black Shark Biplane Handle is made available for the left side, with the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants of the handset, while at both side with the 10GB variant of the handset. The Xiaomi Black Shark Helo dominates the front with 6.01-inch AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1080x2160px, 18:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 402ppi. On the optics front, the Black Shark Helo sports a dual lens camera at the back with 12-megapixel primary sensor along with dual pixel phase detection autofocus and 20-megapixel secondary sensor with autofocus and 2x optical zoom, both of which come with f/1.8 aperture and a dual-LED dual tone flash. The selfie shooter bears a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and HD recording at 30fps. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, and is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4 cores clocked at 2.8GHz while the other 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 6GB/8GB/10GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. The inbuilt storage capacity variants include the one with 128GB and the other with 256GB, however, the smartphone offers no memory card slot for expanding the memory power. The gaming smartphone is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery compatible with Quick Charge 3.0.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone features 4G LTE dual SIM support, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, AptX HD, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Type C 1.0 reversible connector and no 3.5mm Audio Jack along with absence of FM Radio. On-board sensors include fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and digital compass. The smartphone weighs 190g while it measures 160×75.2×8.7mm.
