Can a state government offer a cheque of Rs. 2 Lac to a gang rape victim and set aside it’s obligation towards maintaining the law and order in the state? The whole nation seems to ask this burning question to the Haryana government who have offered a cheque of Rs. 2 Lac to the family of the alleged gang rape victim. The reaction from the family was very obvious in the form of rejection from accepting the cheque. The family admonished the state government for offering such a compensation to their rape victim daughter. The BJP-led Manohar Lal Khattar’s government in Haryana had to face the rage from not only the family but from the whole of the nation on social media.
To multiply the rage, Aam Admi Party (AAP) meddled today and made a controversial statement against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politicians. Haryana AAP chief, Naveen Jaihind, had stepped forward to talk tough with BJP for offering a compensation of Rs. 2 Lac to the alleged gang rape victim and made a controversial statement against BJP which has stirred up the heat between both the parties. “I offer to pay Rs. 20 Lakh to BJP politicians if they allow ‘kukarm’ (misdeeds) on themselves by 10 people, are they valuing someone’s honour at Rs. 2 Lakh,” said Jaihind to the media reporters today in Haryana.

He further claimed that the state is run by the “Kauravas” and compared Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, with “Dhritarashtra”, both the characters are from Mahabharata. “Our chief minister has become a Dhritarashtra. The state government has completely failed. It’s ‘Kaurava’ rule in Haryana,” Jaihind further added. He demanded a speedy action and financial compensation to the family of Rewari Gangrape case of Haryana which has again brought the Haryana administration in question for the law and order issue. Soon the party leader, Atishi Marlena, came before Media and nodded her disagreement for Jaihind’s way of expressing his anger against BJP but agreed with Jaihind on the points he highlighted.
What he highlighted is valid, but yes way he worded it is wrong: Atishi,AAP on AAP Haryana Chief Naveen Jaihind’s remark ‘2 lakh rupay izzat hai kya ek ladki ki?
