The self claimed ‘India Ka Number 1 Smartphone’ brand, Xiaomi, has brought the last month Spain launched smartphone, Xiaomi Mi A2, for the Indian consumers. The Chinese smartphone brand has brought some highlight features like Android One support, 2.5D curved glass, Snapdragon 660, 18:9 display, dual lens camera and 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone is priced based on the variant you choose. Where one variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage is priced Rs. 16,999, the other variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage is yet to be released for sale and has been kept under ‘Coming Soon’ tag. The smartphone will come in Black, Gold, Lake Blue and Rose Gold color variants.
As far as the sale of the smartphone is concerned, the handset will go on sale from just a day after our Independence Day i.e. from August 16 at 12pm. However, the pre-order will begin from Thursday, August 9 at 12noon. The platforms it will be available on are Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home and Mi preferred partners. Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with screen resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and comes with pixel density of 403ppi. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a dual lens camera at the back with an LED flash. The dual camera setup comprises of 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor as the primary one with f/1.75 aperture while the secondary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/1.75 aperture. The camera features include 4-in-1 Super Pixel tech, AI powered technology, Portrait mode for the front as well as the back of the camera, Beauty Mode 4.0 and Face Recognition feature. The selfie shooter bears 20-megapixel sensor with soft-light LED.

Mi A2 runs on The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at up to 2.2GHz, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and Adreno 512 GPU. The internal storage comes in 2 variants viz; 64GB and 128GB, which is not expandable using a MicroSD card. The battery it packs is powered with 3,000mAh and is compatible with Quick Charge 4.0.
The connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE SIM card slots, Dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, Type C USB port, GPS/A-GPS and the company has dumped the 3.5mm Audio Jack in the Mi A2. The sensors on-board are Fingerprint sensor, Ambient Light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity, Gyroscope and Digital Compass. The smartphone weighs 168g and measures 158.7×75.4×7.3mm.
