People usually hire expensive lawyers or resort to bribe the police officers to evade arrest but Sakat sisters in Mumbai chose to go down the completely different lane for the evasion of their arrest. Aged between 30-35 years, Sujata and Sarika Sakat started taking off their clothes when the police attempted to arrest them in a break-in case.
The sister duo very cleverly plan and execute their robbery. They enter the locality with an excuse of getting a job in nearby areas. Once they accomplish the first step of finding a place, they begin their next step of observing and finding the correct house to pull off their plan.
When the police started getting complaints of similar type of robbery, they grew suspicious and started checking CCTV footage of the areas where robbery has happened. The Sakat sisters were first caught on CCTV camera breaking into a Borivali (E) flat. Later that day, Kasturba Marg Police Station received information of a similar break-in in a Malad flat. Hence, police reached the spot to check the CCTV footage. When they were about to leave, Sujata and Sarika were spotted coming out of a nearby building. When the policemen attempted to arrest them, they started stripping in the middle of Heera Bazar in Malad and claimed that they were being molested.

Female cops were later called and the sisters were arrested under sec 380 of IPC. Kasturba Marg Police said that both of them have been involved in several break-ins in the past and have successfully contrived robbery in other areas as well including Juhu, Santacruz, Khaar, etc.
Similar incident happened in Kenya last month where a 30 year old businesswoman stabbed a police officer and when the police tried arresting her, she resisted and started taking off her clothes to prevent male officers from arresting her.
