Oppo A83 (2018) With 4GB RAM & 64GB Inbuilt Memory Launched in India

In comparison to INR 13,990 for Oppo A83, the Oppo A83 (2018) is priced INR 15,990. When it comes to the color variants, the smartphone is available in Gold, Blue and Red colours and are available for sale in India. Oppo A83 (2018) doesn't differ in specifications in comparison to it's earlier version, however, the main difference comes in the RAM and the inbuilt storage.

The Chinese smartphone brand, Oppo, has launched yet another smartphone in India and that’s the upgraded version of Oppo A83 (2017) which got launched in December last year in China. However, the china launch did include this variant earlier that month itself. When the smartphone was launched in India, the 2018 version with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt capacity was skipped. The new upgraded version is named Oppo A83 (2018) which comes with more RAM and more inbuilt storage capacity.

In comparison to INR 13,990 for Oppo A83 (2017), the Oppo A83 (2018) is priced INR 15,990. The Oppo upgraded version smartphone packs 5.7-inch HD+ LCD display with screen resolution of 720x1440px and 18:9 aspect ratio. On the optics front, the smartphone sports 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back with an LED flash and f/2.2 aperture whereas at the front, the smartphone sports 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls with similar f/2.2 aperture. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio MT6737T SoC clocked at up to 2.5GHz Cortex A-53, paired with an enhanced 4GB RAM compared to the 3GB RAM in the A83 2017 version. The smartphone runs ColorOS based Android 7.1 Nougat.

As highlighted earlier, the smartphone comes with an enhanced capacity, it packs 64GB inbuilt memory in comparison to 32GB in the January launched version. The inbuilt storage is expandable to up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. The smartphone packs a similar 3,180mAh non-removable battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone features 4G VoLTE enabled Dual-SIM slots, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro-USB port, GPS/A-GPS and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The sensors on-board are accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone weighs 143g while it measures 150.5×73.10×7.7mm.
