The Chinese smartphone brand, Nubia, a subsidiary of ZTE, has launched a new smartphone Nubia V18 in China. The smartphone packs highlight features like 18:9 display, Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4000mAh battery. The smartphone bears display and processor specs almost similar to Nubia N3, launched this month itself. The smartphone sports some of the latest features like Face and Fingerprint scanner paired with it’s own Maverick voice assistant.
Nubia V18 is priced CNY 1,299 (Approx. INR 13,400) and is already available for pre-order in China. It will go on sale from March 29. Nubia V18 will be available in Stone Gold, Stone Black and Red Color variant. Let’s walk through the specifications and features of the Nubia’s newbie

Nubia V18 dominates the front with it’s 6.01-inch Full HD+ (1080x2160pixels) with 18:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 402ppi. The smartphone runs Nubia UI 5.1 based Android 7.1 Nougat OS. The company hasn’t disclosed if the smartphone will support Android’s latest Oreo version. On the optics front, Nubia V18 lacks in dual lens camera module at the back as it sports single 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, Panorama and HDR with an LED flash. The front camera bears 8-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture without any LED flash for selfie.
The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at up to 2GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. It features 64GB inbuilt storage capacity expandable to up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. On the connectivity front, the smartphone features 4G VoLTE enabled dual sim support (standby mode). The other connectivity options are WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS and Micro-USB 2.0. The sensor on-board are Fingerprint, Face detection sensor, proximity, accelerometer, digital compass. The smartphone weighs 170g and measures 158.7×75.5×7.75mm.
