What makes him going throughout the day even after so busy schedule? Yoga and his eating habits are the secrets to his health and keeps him active throughout the day, he says. He wakes up at 5am and begins his day with yoga and pranayama for 1 hour and has very basic food habits. He likes simple homemade food including yellow dal and green vegetable and follows a sattvik lifestyle. Known to be a very disciplined man, he always follows his schedule, no matter where he is. 1. White Khatta Dhokla
This nutritious, gluten free Gujarati snack is among the top favourites of Modi ji. It is similar to south indian snack idli, but more spongy. With the flavour of sourness, which comes from Yogurt or lemon, Dhokla is our PM’s favourite dish among the others. Flavours of green chilli and ginger makes it a perfect snack, healthy yet tasty.

2. Khilli hui Khichdi
No matter how boring we find khichdi and classify it as a food item to be eaten only when we are ill, we cannot ignore it’s benefits. Khichdi is easy to digest, very nutritious and aids in digestion. Unlike the major population of India, it seems as our Prime Minister is very well aware of the nutritional benefits of khichdi and that is the reason he makes sure to add khichdi in his diet.

3. Besan Khandvi
Again a Gujarati snack item, that is both tasty and healthy. Combination of besan, buttermilk and seasoning with some spices make it a mouth watering dish. 4. Undhiyo
It is a classic Gujarati dish that is cooked with lot of vegetables in aromatic blend of spices. It can be served as a main dish or a side dish. This Gujarati dish is loved by all and hence, by our Prime Minister too.

5. Almond Pistachio Shirkhand
A gujarati dessert recipe, it is served chilled counterpart to all the hot and spicy curries. Healthy nuts like almonds and pistachios are used for it’s garnishing. For all those who have a sweet tooth, Narendra Modi’s favourite dessert is a must try for everyone.
