Mumbai: A new mid-range Chinese smartphone, Vivo X21, has surfaced on smartphone benchmarking site, GeekBench, revealing some of the specs and features of the smartphone. The smartphone is the successor to Vivo X20 and is expected to launch on March 19 in China. The Chinese smartphone maker is reported to feature an under-display fingerprint sensor in Vivo X21 dumping the rear-mounted scanner of it’s predecessor. The smartphone will be the second smartphone to feature under-display finger scanner.
The company released the teaser of the new smartphone without revealing much of the specifications of the smartphone. The new smartphone is also reported to feature Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, like it’s predecessor. Vivo X21 may feature 6GB RAM more than 4GB RAM of the predecessor.
Talking about the GeekBench score, the smartphone scored 1608 on Single-core testing and 5852 on Multi-Core testing. The other features of the smartphone is yet to be revealed officially or through leaks inorder to talk about it.
Vivo is also set to launch it’s flagship smartphone Vivo V9 on March 23 in India. The smartphone was live on company’s e-commerce website, revealing much of the features of the smartphone. The page was later taken off from the site, however, one can land up to a page which shows a dummy smartphone at Rs. 1. Talking about the specifications and features, the smartphone will feature 6.3-inch F-HD+ IPS display and interestingly, the iPhone X like Notch. It will sport dual vertically placed camera module with primary camera being 16MP and secondary being a 5MP camera sensor with an LED flash. The front camera bears 24MP image sensor with an LED flash for dim light selfie.
Vivo V9 will run FunTouch OS based Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It will be powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. On the storage front, the smartphone will feature 64GB inbuilt storage and pack 3260mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone was priced approx. Rs. 22,700 when converted into Indian rupees from an Indonesian site listing price. The smartphone was earlier supposed to launch on March 26, however, the company has, reportedly, preponed the launch. The preponement has happened, reportedly, due to the date clash with Oppo F7 launch.
