Mumbai: The Lenovo owned Motorola brand has launched the Moto Z2 Force with some exciting features in India. The smartphone was launched for the US market in July 2017 and has finally landed in India now. The highlight feature of this Moto flagship smartphone is it’s ‘Shatterproof’ display which is claimed to be unbreakable from a normal drop or a fall or shatter. The highlight features also include dual rear camera setup, the superfast Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and the 6GB RAM along with some other cool features. The price of the smartphone has been announced as INR 34,999 and will be paired with Rs. 5,999 worth TurboPower Pack Battery Moto Mod. The smartphone is Flipkart exclusive, however, is also available through Moto Hub Stores. Let’s quickly read through the specs and features of this newbie in India

 




Moto Z2 Force packs a 5.5-inch Q-HD P-OLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 534ppi density. The screen resolution being 1440x2560pixels, is protection by Moto Shatterfield Technology. Moreover, the company is offering 4-year guarantee on screen breakage from a fall or drop. The smartphone is also water repellent with it’s nano-coating technology.

On the optics front, the smartphone sports a dual lens camera at the back, with primary and secondary being 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, backed by a CCT dual-LED. The camera onboard would also provide depth of field effects and comes loaded with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), Shutter Lag, Touch Laser Focus, HDR and Panorama. At the front, it sports a 5-megapixel 85-degree wide angle camera lens with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash.

 




Talking about the software, the Moto Z2 Force runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is Android Oreo-ready. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC wherein 4 cores are clocked at 2.35GHz and other 4 cores at 1.9GHz. When it comes to RAM, the smartphone is available in 6GB RAM along with 64GB inbuilt storage which is expandable to up to 2TB using a MicroSD card. Thankfully, the smartphone has a dedicated slot for MicroSD card since it is not a Hybrid Standby Dual-SIM mode. The smartphone is powered by a “not-enough” battery power of 2730mAh with Fast Charging capability, however, the company is providing TurboPower Battery Moto Mod with each purchase in India, with the capacity of 35,00mAh.

On the connectivity front, the Moto Z2 Force features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, FM Radio, Type-C USB, GPS/A-GPS, Dual Bandwidth and NFC. The sensors onboard include Proximity, Compass, Gyro, Barometer, Fingerprint scanner at the front at the home button. It weighs 143g and measures 155.8x76x6.1mm.
