Mumbai: Panasonic has quietly launched a new entry-level smartphone, Panasonic P100, for the Indian consumers on Thursday. The Japanese tech brand has tried to encompass features like HD 2.5D curved glass display along with Android 7.0 Nougat in the smartphone which a consumer by spending li’l bit more can get a better smartphone.
We saw Infinix Hot S3 launching recently with features of high-end smartphone packed at a budget-friendly price. The company has launched the smartphone in two variants i.e. 1GB RAM priced INR 5,299 whereas 2GB RAM variant would cost you extra at INR 5,999. We did not find many features to talk high for this smartphone, however, let’s quickly take a look at it’s features and specifications
Panasonic P100 packs a 5-inch large HD display with screen resolution being 720x1280pixels. The screen features 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. On the optics front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the back with an LED flash. The front camera sports 5-megapixel camera lens with an LED flash too.
Panasonic P100 is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737 Helio SoC clocked at up to 1.25GHz, paired with 1GB/2GB RAM. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and features 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable to up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. For a MediaTek processor smartphone, the company has fuelled the smartphone with low powered 22,00mAh battery which may not help you if you are a hardcore smartphone user. However, the company has backed the smartphone with Duraspeed technology which the company claims will save battery from draining fast.
On the connectivity front, it features Dual-Sim support, Micro-USB, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Fingerprint scanner at the back and OTG compatibility. It weighs 174.8g against it’s dimension 145x73x9.9mm. The smartphone is live for sale and is Flipkart exclusive.
