Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold To Go On Sale from Today in India

Mumbai: The self-claimed “Desh Ka Smartphone” chinese brand, Xiaomi, will make a new variant of Xiaomi Redmi 5A live in India today. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold variant will go live with it’s price being listed as INR 4,999 for the 2GB RAM and INR 6,999 for the 3GB RAM variant.

The smartphone will be available on Xiaomi’s own website mi.com and on Flipkart for the sale from today 12PM. The Redmi 5A Dark Grey and Gold color variants were launched in November last year at the price of INR 5,999 for the 2GB RAM variant and INR 6,999 for the 3GB RAM. Giving a teaser yesterday, Xiaomi tweeted, “I’m beautiful. I’m powerful. I’m everyone’s choice. Guess who am I? Watch this space tomorrow” bringing in excitement in the customers for the newbie.

Let’s take a look at the  short brief and description of the new color variant Redmi 5A. To start with, the smartphone doesn’t differ in specifications except the color. The smartphone packs 5.5 inch HD display with pixel resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The smartphone is a dual SIM support phone and is powered by a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Cortex-A53. As far as the RAM variants are concerned, the Redmi 5A features 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with internal storage capacity of 16GB and 32GB, both expandable to up to 128GB using a MicroSD card.

It runs MIUI 9.0 based Android 7.1.2 Nougat. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a 5 megapixel front camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture. While at the rear, the smartphone sports a 13 megapixel camera sensor with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), f/2.2 aperture and backed by an LED flash. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB 2.0, Infrared, FM Radio and a 3.5mm Audio Jack. With regards to sensors onboard, it features Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. It also packs a 3000mAh non-removable battery which claims 8 days of standby time.
