Mumbai: IPL season is here again!!! Indian Premiere League 2018, which will begin it’s 11th Edition from April, 04, 2018 is all set with the 8 franchisees and their squads ready to compete. The IPL auction, which was going on for two days in Bengaluru came to an end couple of days back, with the eight franchisees spending a jaw dropping amount of 431.7 Crore on the players. We saw some major changes in the auction as the franchisees had made it pretty clear that above all what matters is the quality of players and nothing else. A prime example of this was, when Chris Gayle, the wonderful player or the hit machine, was not able to find a place in any of the teams, and after the third round, was placed in the Kings XI Punjab.
From the early seasons, we have seen that the franchisees focus more on the foreign players but from past 2-3 years, they are more interested in investing on Indian players, and one of the most expensive Indian players this year was Jaydev Unadkat, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 11.5 Crore.
Today, we are taking a look at the top 5 most expensive players of this IPL Auction, who had left many major names behind in the game and secured a part in the 8 franchisees
