Mumbai: The ‘Swadeshi’ brand, Intex, is back with 2 new budget smartphones in India. The company has launched its Aqua Jewel 2 and Aqua Lions T1 in India and has tried to woo the Indian consumers in the low budget segment. With in-built apps like Prime Video, Tap n Buy and DataBack in the Aqua Jewel 2 and QR Camera, Xender, Gaana and DataBack in Aqua Lions T1, some consumers may find some of these apps useless. Intex Aqua Jewel 2 packs 5 inch HD display while Aqua Lions T1 packs 5.2 inch FWVGA display. The former sports an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera while the latter sports an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera without any LED flash. The rear and front camera of Aqua Jewel 2 comes with auto focus and LED flash. On the software front, Aqua Jewel 2 runs on SpreadTrum SC9832A Quad-Core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. The Aqua Lions T1 runs on the similar SoC with similar speed, however is powered by only 1GB RAM. They both support Android 7.0 Nougat and have decent connectivity features. The inbuilt storage capacity of Aqua Jewel 2 is 16GB expandable to 32GB using a MicroSD card, however, only 8GB internal storage in Aqua Lions T1 which is expandable to 64GB using a MicroSD card. Both the Smartphones are fuelled by 2,700 mAh battery which looks decent for the phones.
Finally, it’s time to reveal their prices. So guys, Aqua Jewel 2 is priced at INR 5,899 while the Aqua Lions T1 is priced at INR 4,999. They are available in Champagne and Black color variants while the Aqua Lions T1 available in additional Coffee color variant. They both are most likely be offline exclusive.
