Nokia 7 Launched in China

Mumbai: HMD Global, the home for Nokia phones, has again brought a new smartphone for it’s consumers. This time, it’s Nokia 7 which is launched in China on October 20. The company has started giving a tough competition to the existing brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, etc. right from it’s rebirth. With some cool Smartphones like Nokia 3, 5 & 6 at the start of the brand’s rebirth and Nokia 8 launched this month in India, it’s Nokia 7 which is launched now. Although, Indian consumers need to wait until they can grab Nokia’s newly launched smartphone. Let’s look at the specifications and features of this newfangled smartphone

Nokia 7 comes packed in aluminium frame with 5.2 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080x1920p. The smartphone sports 2.5D curved screen and comes with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It sports a fingerprint scanner at the back and features back glass panel. On the optics front, Nokia 7 sports a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera comes with an aperture of f/1.8 and supports a dual tone LED flash while the front camera comes with an aperture of f/2.0. The smartphone claims to support the ‘Bothie Camera’ feature which has already debuted in Nokia 8. The company calls the feature ‘Dual-sight Mode’ which enables a user to use the front and the back camera simultaneously. The smartphone supports 4K video recording and audio technology supports it’s Nokia OZO technology which supports 360 degree recording.

As far as the software is concerned, it runs Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 clocked at 1.8GHz speed and supports Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the company assures the phone is Android Oreo ready. When it comes to RAM feature, Nokia 7 comes in 2 variants viz; 4GB and 6GB RAM. On the connectivity front, Nokia 7 supports NFC, Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-fi 802.11ac, GPS and a 3.5mm Audio Jack. Nokia 7 packs a powerful 3000 mAh non-removable battery and the internal storage capacity of 64GB expandable to 128GB using a MicroSD card. It comes in 2 color variants viz; Gloss Black and Matte White. It’s Chinese price is CNY 2,499 for its 4GB RAM variant and CNY 2,699 for its 6GB RAM variant. The smartphone will go on sale from tomorrow in China. The company has not yet revealed as to when it will be available for sale in countries outside China.
