Bangalore: Indian Politics recently is becoming so chaotic that it even started to abuse and attack the opponent party workers, political leaders and even common men for their rage. The political war between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has put the common men of West Bengal in trouble and the entire state is in pathetic situation. The fight between these two parties are so intense that the public of the state is suffocating as a result of the thrash of TMC goons on BJP leaders and workers. The attack started once the Trinamool Congress party won the West Bengal Legislative Assembly election in 2016 and Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister.
Let’s see the history of attacks by TMC goons since the victory of Mamata Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress. The state level victory of All India Trinamool Congress mirrors the BJP’s pan-Indian dominance and since then BJP who has the second leading votes acting as the Opponent party in WB.

On June 14, 2017 Wednesday, there was a clash reported between the BJP and TMC workers. The BJP workers alleged that the TMC activists allegedly used their arms and sticks to prevent the BJP workers from filing their nomination for a co-operative society election at Omarpur area of Sainthia in Birbhum. BJP secretary Sayantan Basu said that the TMC activists even ransacked the house of their tribal worker, Sanatan Murmu and attacked him since he was one of their candidates in co-operactive society election.
But TMC denied all these allegations.
When it came to the Triple Talaq issue, the TMC MP Sultan Ahmed made a controversial statement attacking the NDA government and accused BJP trying to infringe into the fundamental and religious rights of Muslims. He also suggested BJP to leave the issue of triple talaq to the Muslim community of the country to decide.
On June 24, 2017, when BJP MP George Baker went to West Bengal’s Bardhaman’s Kalna area to attend a function, he was allegedly thrashed and his car vandalised by the goons in the area. BJP claimed that TMC was behind this attack. Regarding this incident, BJP leader C.K. Bose told ANI, “West Bengal under the TMC Government, has been converted into a land of hoodlums. The TMC goons are not only attacking the party workers, but they also don’t even spare senior leaders of the Parliament. We really condemn that the senior leader of the BJP was mercilessly beaten up,”. They also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as State Home Minister.

On May 22, 2016, BJP leader Roopa Ganguly was heckled and her convoy attacked allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters when she was returning to the city near Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas district. The incident happened when Ganguly, along with other BJP workers, was returning after visiting a party worker who was assaulted allegedly by TMC workers in a hospital.
On Jan 3, 2017, TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay was arrested in his office because of his connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam. Another TMC MP Tapas Pal was already in police custody regarding this issue. His arrest triggered the furious TMC student wing activists and workers to attack the BJP headquarter in Kolkata to protest against the arrest of TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay. Reports suggested that TMC goons raining down on the BJP party office in Kolkata armed with stones and brickbats and around 15 to 17 BJP workers were injured and a few bled from the head as they spoke to the media.
Even public were also harmed by the TMC goons as a result of his arrest. As an outcome of this incident, Mamata reported, “Narendra Modi is using CBI, ED, IT to scare those who raise voice against demonetisation,”. Mamata alleged and dared PM Modi to arrest her.
All these incidents arouse the BJP workers to protest against the TMC government in West Bengal.
