Mumbai: After four years of late in Bollywood actor Jiah Khan’s death, her mother Rabiya Khan, has reportedly written an open letter addressing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi pleading him for justice in her daughter’s case. Jiah Khan, who had, reportedly, committed suicide by hanging at her Mumbai residence in June 2013, is still seeking justice in her death case.
In the open letter, she has sought justice and criticized the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its incompetence. Rabiya Khan took over this step due to the rejection of her petition filed in an Apex Court as the apex court had refused to intervene in Bombay High Court’s order that denied a Special Investigations Team (SIT) in the matter.
She says that she submitted her application to the trial court through the state-appointed Special Public Prosecutor Dinesh Tiwari, who is aware of the entire history and has been part of this case from the beginning. Rabiya Khan has expressed her strong belief that the Jiah Khan‘s case is heavily ‘managed’ as she said that anyone who looks into the facts in the case will agree with her on the case being heavily ‘Managed’. She referred to the Jason Payne James, the forensic expert’s report where the report called the case appears to be a clear “staged homicide”. In the open letter, Jiah Khan‘s mother has slashed over the willful laziness and careless attitude of CBI in bringing out the truth in her daughter’s death as she claims that her daughter has not committed suicide instead she is murdered. Through the injuries marks evident on Jiah’s body, it is quite easy to make out it is a murder, but it was made to look like a suicide.
“For some reason, CBI was reluctant to take over the case from the beginning, and in fifteen months of delay in their findings, the CBI investigation got compromised. It would be an insult to the capabilities of the CBI to say that CBI just failed to conduct a proper investigation.” she claims.

She further said, “There is no doubt CBI has all the powers and skills required to find the underlying cause of my daughter’s death. Somehow, the CBI investigation went off track, for reasons best known to them. Instead, CBI’s own independent forensic expert opinion is inconclusive and does not rule out either homicide or suicide.”
Expressing her grief and concern in her letter further, she states, “Now the main point is that if the CBI, who has joined hands with the accused, is not with the victim and not willing to cooperate with me, then how is justice going to be served.”
Rabiya Khan expressed her rage over the slow proceedings by CBI which has consumed an enormous amount of her time and has resulted in her failure to provide justice to her daughter Jiah Khan as she expressed her thoughts through this open letter. On April 20, she had claimed that she has the capacity and enough evidence to prove that her daughter’s suicide was actually a murder.
