Mumbai: The Chinese Tech Company, Vivo has brought a new smartphone ‘Y69’ in its Y-series on Friday. The glimpse of the smartphone was already leaked a few weeks ago and the media invites were sent to power the media tech experts witness the launch of Vivo Y69 on Friday.
Talking about the highlight feature of the Smartphone, it’s selfie-centric camera features take the credit. The Bokeh Effect along with Group Selfie and ‘Live Photo’ feature are the highlight features of Vivo Y69. Vivo Y69 is packed with a 5.5 Inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. The display has been provided with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Vivo Y69 has got a fingerprint scanner at the home button which will enable it’s users for quick unlocking the smartphone.
Vivo Y69 supports Android 7.0 Nougat, runs Funtouch OS 3.2 and is powered with a 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6570 SoC. Well, you would be wondering why a MediaTek MT6570 in this generation, where people prefer a Snapdragon chipset. MediaTek processors are known for consuming too much battery power and heating up your Smartphone. Vivo could have worked upon the processor as that’s the heart of a Smartphone when it comes to performance. Talking about RAM, Vivo Y69 is powered with only 3GB RAM which again seems lagging behind considering its price. Talking about the camera features which is what Vivo is known for, Vivo Y69 flaunts a 13MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3LB sensor and with an aperture of f/2.2. The selfie crazy consumers would love this Smartphone as it packs 16MP front camera with Samsung S5K3P3ST sensor and an aperture of f/2.2 along with Moonlight Glow.

The company has also added features like Bokeh Effect, Wide Lens for group selfies and ‘Live Photo’ feature to its front camera features. The Vivo Y69 provides in-built memory capacity of 32GB which can be expanded to 256GB using a MicroSD card. Vivo Y69 comes with dual SIM slot for dual 4G VoLTE supporting SIMs. The Chinese brand, Vivo has packed a non-removable battery of only 3000 mAh power which seems average for a MediaTek processor.
Talking about the price, Vivo Y69 is priced at INR 14,990 and is set to go for sale from Sep 1 on online ecom sites like Amazon and Flipkart. The Smartphone will also be available offline through it’s widespread chain of stores across India. It will be sold in Champagne Gold and Matte Black color variant.
