Mumbai: The former Governor of West Bengal and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nomination, Ram Nath Kovind has finally made his way to the ‘Rashtrapati Bhavan’ for the next 5 years. Ram Nath Kovind has defeated her United Progressive Alliance (UPA) nominated contender Meira Kumar by a substantial margin. He secured two-third of the total electoral college votes and it closed at a figure of 702,044 votes against her rival Meira Kumar with just 367,314 votes.




He is the 14th President of the Republic of India and will be serving the nation for the next 5 years. Among the other power of President of India, Kovind will be the Head of the state of India and commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed forces.
