Mumbai: With opposition protesting and BSP supremo resigning as the Rajya Sabha member, Rajya Sabha is finally scheduled to discuss on Mob lynching tomorrow. Earlier today, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha got adjourned after opposition parties protested in both the houses of the parliament.
National Opposition party Congress on Monday had given a notice in the Rajya Sabha for scheduling a discussion on violent activity of Mob Lynching in the name of Cow Protection. It wanted a discussion after there are repeated violent incidence on Dalits and Minorities reported from various Indian states in the recent past. Opposition parties like Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) among others, protested in both the houses of Parliament, the session got adjourned. BSP supremo Mayawati resigned from Rajya Sabha today after she was not allowed to speak on the issue.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Ananth Kumar commented on today’s high-voltage drama. “People are trying to give it a Political and communal color, but it is not in favour of the country,” said Kumar. Quoting PM Modi’s Sunday’s appeal to the state government, he said “Prime Minister Modi has asked the State Governments to take strict action against the anti-social elements creating violence in the name of Cow Vigilantism and punish them strictly,”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked all the parties to support his Government in the fight against corruption and the communal violence in the name of Cow protection.
