Capital First Scholarship programme details for Aspiring MBA students in IndiA

Lucknow: Capital First Limited is one of India’s major lending platforms. It has disbursed loans of over INR 30,000 crores to about 33 lakh customers around India.  It was established in 2010 and since then Capital First has been involved in financing India’s emerging middle class & entrepreneurs.

 

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a business approach that plays a major role in sustainable development by providing for economic, social and environmental benefits for all stakeholders. Capital First Limited, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aims at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from the economically weaker sections of the society. This Capital First Scholarship Programme will assist them in affording admissions into reputed institutions which offer an MBA degree or its equivalent.

The Capital First Programme is an initiative by Capital First for empowering individuals in fulfilling their aspirations with a financially inclusive environment of academic institutions. Under this program, a scholarship of INR 1 lakh p.a. is provided to those meritorious students who belong to financially challenged backgrounds and aspires to pursue an MBA program or its equivalent. For the current year, CFL aims at supporting 100 meritorious students who will begin their MBA program in the academic year 2017-18.

 

The financial eligibility criterion for the program is that the candidate’s family income should be less than INR 6 lakhs p.a. Students having the lowest family income shall be given preference in the ascending order. The Scholarships are open for studies in India and for Indian Nationals only. The Candidates applying for the scholarship under this program should be pursuing MBA and/ or would be applying for MBA during the academic year 2017-18. The final acceptance of the proposed candidates shall be on the basis of internal due diligence and checks done by the CFL Selection Panel and will be at all times subject to its management decision. The candidates who are selected for the Scholarship will be intimated by CFL via email.

 

If a candidate meets the eligibility criteria, she/he can create an account on the Capital First portal and complete the formalities required for online application. Candidates have to provide their username and email address to create the account. Post registration, candidates are required to provide their personal details, academic records and upload necessary documents. It is advised that the candidates save the changes during the application process to avoid any loss of data. Applications will be reviewed and the final intimation will be sent. Capital First scholarship program, CSR initiative by Capital First Limited, is believed to be beneficial for students beyond the completion of their education, they will have opportunities for greatly enhancing their own economic and social status, that of their families and being an inspiration to others in their position.
