Lucknow: Former congress MLA Baba Siddique’s Iftaar Party is one of the most awaited events in the Entertainment calendar ever since 2013, when at this very occasion, Bollywood‘s Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan embraced each other putting their enmity at rest. This time around, the two Khans not just made separate entries but also weren’t photographed together.
Baba Siddique’s Iftar Party on Saturday was a star studded event with Salman Khan being the first to arrive, accompanied by Lulia Vantur, his brother Sohail Khan, father Salim Khan, sisters Alvira and Arpita and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. Salman’s ‘Tubelight’ child co-star Matin Rey Tangu was also spotted at the event along with the director of Tubelight, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur. Meanwhile Shahrukh Khan entered the venue all by himself.
The two Khans of bollywood have shared a space on screen in Salman’s latest movie ‘Tubelight’ after 15 years where Shahrukh Khan has done a cameo role.
Siddique’s Iftar Party was a highlighted event with the presence of renowned dignitaries from various domains of work – Daboo Ratnani, Nidhi Agarwal, Abbas- Mustan, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Angad Bedi, Swapnil Joshi, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Ileana D’cruz, Ramesh Taurani, Huma Qureshi, Himesh Reshammiya, Krushna Abhishek, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sonu Sood, Manish Paul, Aneez Bazmi, Bhushan Kumar, Rajkumar Rao, Manish Malhotra and Preity Zinta.
Despite being surrounded by the controversy of the raids conducted The Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Siddique’s premises on May 31st this year, in connection with cases of money laundering; the glitter at the Iftar Party remained unaffected.
For most fans, the party lost its case because Salman and Shahrukh didn’t hug each other, yet they both sported similar outfits, white shirt and black pants. Was it in coordination or a mere coincidence? Who knows.
