Maharashtra board was founded in January 1966
MSBSHSE conducts the SSC and HSC Examination in the state through its 9 Divisional Boards located at Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Latur, Nagpur, Nasik, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri and Amravati.
There are almost 21,000 Schools for SSC and 7000 Schools & Jr. Colleges for HSC in the entire Maharashtra State.
As per the reports, about 17,66,098 students appeared for the Class X state board exam out of which 9,89,908 were boys and 7,76,190 were girls
MSBSHSE conducted Class X exam from March 7 to March 29, 2017
As per reports, the passing percentage of Class X board exam is 88.74% this year out of which 91.46% were girls and 86.51% were boys
A report states that 1.8 lac students failed in less than three subjects and have been allowed to keep term ATKT in this academic year
Konkan Division has topped with 96.18 pass percentage and Nagpur Division has got the lowest passing percentage in the state with 83.67% only
