The AAP leader, Dilip Pandey, called Tiwari’s act as hooliganism when he said, “Thousands of people have come here to celebrate without an invitation card, but the MP (Manoj Tiwari) considers himself VIP. He is doing hooliganism. The BJP people thrashed AAP volunteers and local people. They are admitted to hospital,” quoted ANI. However, Tiwari claims to have been invited to the event as he is the Member of Parliament (MP) from the same constituency. “I am a Member of Parliament from this area. I got the work for this bridge restarted and this is how Arvind Kejriwal is treating me. I was invited to the inauguration event. So what is the problem? Am I a criminal? The accused MLA in the case, Amanutullah Khan, however, refuted Tiwari’s allegations. “When he (Tiwari) was trying to climb the stage, I stopped him, I did not push him. It was obvious from his actions that if he was successful in climbing the stage, he would have misbehaved or attacked the Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) and Deputy Chief Minister (Manish Sisodia).” Khan told ANI. Khan also refuted Tiwari’s claim of being invited to the event and accused BJP MP and his supporters of showing black flags and tearing the hoardings at the event.
