The son of Gurugram’s Additional Session Court judge Krishan Kant Sharma who was shot at by his own Guard, Mahipal Singh, has succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning. His treatment was being done in Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital. On October 13, the Additional Session Court’s judge was in the court while his wife, Ritu, and son, Dhruv, had gone on a shopping with their guard or the Personal Security Guard (PSO), Mahipal. Mahipal allegedly removed his pistol and fired at Judge’s wife and son who were later removed from the car that they were shot in and left on the streets by him. A video claiming to show Mahipal removing the bodies of judge’s wife and his son from the car and then left on the street, was circulated on social media. It could be seen in the video that the guard removed both the bodies from the car and tried to shove the son’s body back in the car. When he got unsuccessful in doing so, he left both the bodies on the busy street of Gurugram and left the spot in the same car that he had come in. The guard informed the judge about his horrific misdeeds and was soon arrested by the police.

The judge’s wife lost her life on the spot while his son was still breathing, leaving a scope for survival. He was admitted to a hospital where he was treated for his bullet injuries. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning leaving the whole nation shocked and grieved at the whole incident. An investigation is underway to bring out the insights about the incident. As per reports, the incident was a result of “sudden provocation” when Ritu and Dhruv scolded Mahipal for being untraceable after they returned from their shopping. As per Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sumit Kuhar who addressed the media after the incident, said, “The mother and son had asked Mahipal to wait near the car until they came back. But on returning, they did not find him. Upset over his absence, Ritu scolded Mahipal Singh while Dhruv asked him to hand over the keys of their car. Angry over their behaviour, the guard first began thrashing Dhruv who was seated on the passenger seat. A few minutes later, he shot him twice,”
