The HMD Global marketed Nokia 8.1 is now spotted on certification site, GeekBench, revealing the single-core score as well as the multi-core score of the handset. Along with the scores, the other details like processor and RAM details were also leaked. The smartphone, as reported by Android Pure, will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset and has a decent score on GeekBench. Nokia 7.1 Plus is also speculated to be launched alongside Nokia 8.1. The Nokia 7.1 Plus is reported to be the global version of Nokia X7 which was launched in China last week. The Nokia 7.1 Plus sports a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with Snapdragon 710 processor like what is expected in the Nokia 8.1 of the Nokia 8 series smartphones. The Nokia 7.1 Plus is also expected to feature a 3,500mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support. The smartphone hasn’t made an outstanding impression on the consumers but seems to be a smartphone to woo some.

Talking about the Nokia 8.1, the smartphone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and may run on Android 9 Pie which is the latest version by Google’s Android. It is expected that HMD Global may bring-in a 6GB RAM version for the consumers alongside the 4GB RAM variant. The handset is expected to come with Android One branding, which means upgrades to the version of the Android will be available to the buyers for the next 2 years. Looking at the score of 1851 on Single-core and 5807 on Multi-Core suggest that the smartphone may be a mid-range smartphone and be a budget-friendly phone. Talking about the other features and specs, the GeekBench failed to highlight any other specs or features of the smartphone. But one can expect an upgrade in the specifications from it’s other siblings under the Nokia 8 series smartphones. So far, the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco have been launched by HMD Global as their flagship smartphones. The Nokia 8 launched in London last year while the Nokia 8 Sirocco was launched in the MWC 2018 for the world. The smartphone was unveiled for other countries separately.
