Investigation
Delhi Police is trying to investigate the case with consideration of all possible angles as missing out on any evidence or clue will deviate the case from it’s real cause. Suspicions
Following the deep investigation of the case, there were certain suspicions that came out. There is a possibility of a link with occult practices as during the house search certain handwritten religious notes were found by the police that pointed towards observance of suicide for mass salvation of the family. “Coincidently, the notes have strong similarity with the manner in which the mouth, eyes, etc.. of the deceased were tied and taped” read the communique.

This isn’t a case of murder after theft as women were found wearing gold jewelry. Police also said that there could be a possibility that one member killed rest of the members and later committed suicide. These are only suspicions and nothing can be confirmed as of now.

1. Biggest question that arises after understanding the case is that ‘How come no relative was aware or even got a slightest of hint of such spiritual practices going on in the house,’ Even Sujata Nagpal, Narayan’s daughter who lives in Panipat had no clue about what was going on in the family in this context. She said that she talked to her brother, Lalit on Saturday at 11pm but then too he told her nothing about family’s drive to attain mass salvation. Police quizzed friends and relatives to find out if any member of the Bhatia family mentioned any such thing to them.

2. Another question is that how were the teenage children were convinced by the family to take such a step because investigations of the officers till now do not reveal any signs of struggle.

3. There is another mystery regarding how 11 people agreed to take their lives and even allowed their family to die in front of them at the same time.

4. It was also reported that Priyanka’s wedding was fixed and her engagement was also celebrated. If family had any such plans of seeking mass salvation then why would they fix her wedding?

As of now, nothing can be said with surety about what happened and how did it happen till the autopsy reports are received as they will play a crucial role and will for sure give a new direction to the case because police haven’t ruled out the possibility of use of poison.
