The next one is for our curry lovers, SURTI BARAH HANDI! Barah handi is an authentic delicacy. The idea behind the name is simply about how the dish is cooked. In an open space, 12 large earthen pots arranged one after the other in a line on slow heat. Cooking in those clay pots all night long is what makes this dish so special. The slow cooking brings to the meat a very soft texture, so soft that it is almost turned into thick gravy. Have it with khameeri roti and hunger is more than satisfied. You can find this gravy dish in almost all the stalls in Bohri Mohalla. But the one on Dharamsey Cross Street near Raudat Tahera Mausoleum is the best recommended.

HALEEM or KHICHADA (as called in Mumbai), bowl full of flavors and nutrition one can have as a complete meal. Khichada is a meat dish made with wheat and lentils. And Jaffar Bhai’s Delhi Darbar is the best place to have it. Delhi Darbar is also one of the best places to have Biryani and a glass full of Kulfi falooda.
